Our history
MINE -beyond events was created in Taormina, Sicily, in 2011, with the objective to contribute and to promote the island’s territory within an international framework.
In 2012, together with 8 other companies in the Meeting Industry, characterized by different professional skills and expertise, we founded MIA (Meet in Action), the first Italian business network of the Meeting Industry.
2018 was an important year for MINE: a new project with the first High Training laboratory for the Meeting Industry I-AM Lab (International Advanced MICE Lab), and the satisfaction of having seen the election of the owner Elisabetta Caminiti as President of the Italian Chapter of MPI – Meeting Professionals International.
In 2019, MINE also decided to invest in the city of Treviso as the new e headquarters for of the company, a stone’s throw from one of the most loved and visited cities in the world, Venice and the Prosecco hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Veneto thus becomes a new “home”, together with Sicily, for the staff of MINE.
Elisabetta Caminiti
Managing Director and CEO of MINE
Her home is the world, with a degree in foreign languages and she is fluent in English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. She improves her language skills traveling in the footsteps of the great literary masters of the 17th and 18th century.
During her university years she entered the world of tourism working as multilingual museum guide and tour leader.
In 2005 she worked in the International Events Organization Office at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Melbourne for the promotion of Made in Italy abroad.
For the next 7 years she worked in the MICE field, first between Messina and Bologna as Project Leader at medical-scientific meeting organization agencies and later as Planning and Operation Supervisor at an Incentive House in Milan, where she specializes in incentive trips in Italy and abroad, business conventions and luxury travels.
In February 2011 she started her entrepreneurial activity, giving life to MINE of which she is CEO.
Active member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) since 2009, and after her experience as a board member as VP Education, she was President of the Italian chapter for the year 2018-2019 and continues to collaborate in the initiatives of the chapter and participates in various round tables.
Over the years she has been speaker in several congresses and conventions and teacher in university and non-university specialization courses in the tourism and events field. She is currently part of the teaching staff of I-am LAB (International Advanced MICE Lab) and BeAcademy Master THEM (Tourism, Hospitality & Event Management).
Elisabetta is supported by a dynamic and smiling team of professionals specialized in the event management.
The team works with passion from the first day, is attentive to current trends and with an eye to the future.
Giorgia: for 25 years has been in charge of International Medical-Scientific Congresses, Business Travel and Organisational Secretariats. Within MINE she manages all kind of events, covering the role of Senior Project Manager.
Linda: Her background goes from communication to graphics, publishing and design. In the last 8 years with MINE she has been in charge of the administration and events. She is the mathematical mind of the team.
Madalina: After tourism studies, she started her professional experience in MINE and now she takes care of incentive trips and manages the company’s social medias.
